Slow Down<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Have you ever watched kids on a merry-go-round,
\nor listened to rain slapping the ground?
\nEver followed a butterfly’s erratic flight,
\nor gazed at the sun into the fading night?<\/p>\n

You better slow down,
\ndon’t dance so fast,
\ntime is short, the music won’t last.<\/p>\n

Do you run through each day on the fly,
\nwhen you ask “How are you?”
\ndo you hear the reply?
\nWhen the day is done,
\ndo you lie in your bed,
\nwith the next hundred chores running through your head?<\/p>\n

You better slow down,
\ndon’t dance so fast
\ntime is short, the music won’t last.<\/p>\n

Ever told your child,
\nwe’ll do it tomorrow,
\nand in your haste, not seen his sorrow?
\nEver lost touch,
\nlet a good friendship die,
\n’cause you never had time to call and say “hi”.<\/p>\n

You better slow down,
\ndon’t dance so fast
\ntime is short, the music won’t last.<\/p>\n

When you run so fast to get somewhere,
\nyou miss half the fun of getting there,
\nWhen you worry and hurry though your day,
\nit is like an unopened gift thrown away.
\nLife is not a race,
\nso take it slower,
\nhear the music before the song is over.<\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0Although it is important to have long-term goals to work toward, you have to remember to take time to slow down and enjoy the ride.\u00a0 \u00a0You will never get these moments back.\u00a0 And, you can’t live your life simply waiting to get to the finish line, while ignoring everything you pass along the way.\u00a0 Because one day, you will realize that the journey often eclipses the destination itself.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 So, don’t let life pass you by without slowing down to take in the sights around each bend.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
