Masterpiece

“You have a masterpiece inside you, you know. One unlike any that has ever been created, or ever will be. If you go to your grave without painting your masterpiece, it will not get painted. No one else can paint it. Only you.”

― Gordon MacKenzie

Each of us has our own unique story. No one else can write it or tell it. Only you can. So, choose to share your story and embrace it for the work of art it is.

Happiness

“Happiness depends on your mindset and attitude. Happiness is in your mind, not in the circumstance.”

― Roy Bennett

Someone recently told me to get as much happiness out of what you are doing as you can and don’t put off being happy until some future date. Those are words we should all listen to and embrace. It is important to remember that life isn’t promised and so you should strive to find joy in every moment no matter your circumstances. For happiness doesn’t lie in your circumstances but rather it wholly depends on your mindset. So, let go of the trivial things and focus on what truly matters – sharing love, laughter, and hope with those around you. And never forget that you, and only you, control your happiness.

Do You

“Don’t be afraid to stand tall in YOUR truth! Boldly and confidently face everything that has, and is, keeping you bound. Fight for your inner peace! Fight for your happiness! Fight for everything and everybody that’s important to you! You are NOT a victim! Don’t even play into that. You owe it to yourself to LIVE! Live your life without the regrets, without the resentments, without the unforgiveness, without the blame game, without the self-pity, without any and everything that keeps you from experiencing true joy within! You are too important to waste your life away! Learn to appreciate and value your life, but most importantly, learn to appreciate and value yourself! You count too, no matter what you’ve done!”

― Stephanie Lahart

Live your truth. Don’t let others decide the course of your life. And stop worrying about pleasing everyone else and focus on finding your happiness. Let go of past regrets and forgive yourself. And just live your life on your terms.

Inaction

“You can’t cross the sea merely by standing and staring at the water.”

– Rabindranath Tagore

Inaction gets you nowhere. Talking the talk is not the same as walking the walk. In order to move forward, you must first actually get up and do something. It’s all about forward trajectory and action. So, stop staring at the top of the mountain at your future, and start climbing toward a better tomorrow.

Keep Going

“Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time.”

-Thomas A. Edison

No matter how long the night or how rough the road, you must not give up or give in. No, you must keep trying until you take your last breath. For life isn’t about how many battles you win; rather, it’s about how many times you kept fighting no matter how tired and weary you were.

Don’t Give In

“So many people will tell you ”no”, and you need to find something you believe in so hard that you just smile and tell them ”watch me”. Learn to take rejection as motivation to prove people wrong. Be unstoppable. Refuse to give up, no matter what. It’s the best skill you can ever learn.”

― Charlotte Eriksson

It is inevitable that you will face rejection, disapproval, and doubt throughout your life. How you choose to deal with it defines the type of person you are. You always have a choice to give in to the naysayers or you can choose to use the negativity as fuel for the fire driving you to achieve the impossible.

Choose Your Reality

“In life there is reality and there is what you want in life. If you took a moment to step back and forget about everything that is going on that doesn’t really mean that much anyway, you might be able to figure out how to get what you want and what has been stopping you. For every problem there is a solution, for every… need God has provided the answer, and for every want there is a way. Reality is what you make it.”

― Joshua Hartzell

For every problem, there is a solution. You have but to block out all the white noise that surrounds you and focus on the here and now. Take a moment to stop and assess the situation for what it is without all the background noise. You have all the tools you need to find the answers for the questions you seek. And remember that reality is truly what you make it.

Fear

“You’re never going to walk around fear. You’re only going to walk through it. I have to do all those things I am afraid of, but I do them constantly renewing my mind.”

― Suzanne D. Williams

Don’t spend your life running away from your fears. To do so would amount to a life full of what ifs. Instead, you must learn to confront your fear and walk through it. For you will be a stronger, wiser person for having stood up to what you’re afraid of.

Life’s Lessons

“Everyday of your life is another lesson. If you learn the lesson well and apply it; whether positive or negative, you determine what happens in your tomorrow.”

― David Kofi Awusi

Life is full of teaching moments if you choose to view it as so. Every experience whether good or bad should be treated as a stepping stone leading you toward a better, brighter, and healthier future.

Your Potential

“Each one of us holds the promise of greatness within our heart, minds, and souls. Our potential and where it leads us are as unique as our fingerprints, yet the way to access what is possible is universal. Affirm your life; find joy every day, even in the mundane; and embrace your strengths and use them to better yourself and the world.”

― Marianna Olszewski

There is great potential within each of us. Whether you fully realize that potential is up to you. To realize your potential, you must commit yourself each and every day to embracing all that life has graced you with. This means finding joy in every moment of life no matter how small or how dark the day. It means embracing the good and not so good in yourself and in others. It’s about using the tools and resources available to you to better yourself and those around you.
